7th Global Chinese Chemical Scholars Symposium
The Distillation Center holds the 7th Global Chinese Chemical Engineerings Symposium
On July 12-15, 2015, Global Chinese Chemical Engineers Symposium—Frontiers in Chemical Engineering was held in Tianjin Saixiang Hotel. The conference was hosted by the School of Chemical Engineering and technology of Tianjin University, co-organized by the Distillation Center of Tianjin University and the Crystal Center of Tianjin University. The meeting was chaired by Professor Xingang Li, director of the Distillation Center. Guests attending the opening ceremony were Academician Jingkang Wang from Tianjin University, chairman Jingmei Bai from Tianjin Science and Technology Association, director Hongwei Sun from the Chemistry Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, vice president Yingjin Yuan from Tianjin University, Academician Yong Chen from the Institute of Energy of Chinese Academy of Sciences in Guangzhou, Academician Jingxu Zhu of the Royal Canadian Academy of Sciences, and dean Xinbin Ma of the School of Chemical Engineering and technology of Tianjin University. The conference invited 12 well-known experts in the chemical industry at home and abroad to make a report on the conference. This conference also set up seminar to discuss the current hot topics in the chemical industry, such as demand and development of the chemical engineering, the development status and prospect of urban and rural mines, as well as haze and weather. At the end of the meeting, Professor Qihua Wang of the National University of Singapore introduced the preparations for the 8th Global Chinese Chemical Engineerings Symposium to be held in Singapore next year and informed the meeting.
This conference brought together more than 200 experts and scholars from all over the world in the field of chemistry and chemical industry, and more than 10 experts and scholars from abroad, as well as from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, to give a report at the conference. The seminar grasped the current development of disciplines in the field of chemical engineering and technology, aiming at a series of issues such as the international talent training strategy, integrating production with learning and research, interdisciplinary integration of multidisciplinary, collaborative innovation of science and technology, and sustainable development of energy and environment. The extensive and in-depth exchanges and discussions provides a display and exchange platform for scholars from various countries . It is believed that this conference will promote mutual understanding of chemical scholars at home and abroad, promote the academic prosperity and scientific and technological progress and innovation of the chemical industry, provide suggestions for the chemical education and the chemical industry to serve the economic, social, and comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development, and further expand the international cooperation space and improve international influence of Chinese chemical scholars. The first six conferences were successfully held in Canada, Australia, China (Tsinghua University), Britain, China (Northwest University), and China (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology).
